This design for Arcanist, a new upmarket flavoured rum, is as stereotype-defying as the rich pineapple elixir itself. Avoiding nautical clichés, the rum sits in a corked conical flask bottle adorned with alchemical symbols – a nod to the experimentation that created this flavour. The delicate art deco lines exude opulence with their gold foil finish on a smoky dark teal gradient, nicely complementing the rum’s golden tint. In both style and substance, this was decidedly a refreshing twist to a familiar spirit – to be enjoyed by old and new audiences alike, particularly those who experiment.
